North American Center for Transborder Studies (NACTS)

NACTS is a trinational initiative that connects local communities, governmental officials and public sector agencies to academic research institutions in an effort to produce holistic data and provide greater understanding of border issues across disciplines. The Center supports scholars who specialize in researching and analyzing such topics as economic development in North America and around the globe, immigration and border policies, advances in technologies that identify and track the movement of humans across the North American landscape, environmental, and health and quality of life issues across border regions. Research sponsored and produced by NACTS is conveyed to key policy makers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, in addition to being disseminated across local and international media circuits. The center's major goal is to become an indispensable resource for the facilitation of informed dialogue and policy discussions surrounding transborder issues.
