Arizona State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

ISSR Catalyst Grant Program

The mission of the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) is to encourage, develop and facilitate transdisciplinary collaboration to create leading-edge thinking and innovative approaches to research initiatives across the University, the state and region, and around the world.

The Institute for Social Science Research's (ISSR) Catalyst Grant Program is pleased to announce its Spring 2008 call for promising transdisciplinary social science research projects. The call is designed to support pilot studies to strengthen their future submission to federal funding agencies and/or larger external grant programs. All proposals that advance the research mission of the university and incorporate ISSR services provided by the Survey Research and Analysis Group, GIS Services, or Research Application and Support Services are invited. Included in our services are our state of the art focus group room facility and observation suite (See Research Facilities, Experimental and Observational). Applicants may create transdisciplinary research teams that include faculty from across University departments, colleges or schools, and/or multi-site research designs in collaboration with other universities. The principal investigator for the project must be a full-time ASU faculty member. The ISSR acknowledges the support of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for the funds to support these grants.
