Accessing Spatial Data via the Windows Network
  • Open Windows Explorer by double-clicking on the My Computer icon or by right-clicking on the Start menu.
  • From the Tools menu, choose “Map Network Drive”.
  • In the Map Network Drive dialog, choose any available drive letter and connect to: \\itfs1.asurite.ad.asu.edu\gisshare1$\spatial_data
  • If you are asked to authenticate and you are ASU faculty, staff, or graduate student, use your ASURITE username preceded by 'asurite\'. For example, John Doe might type 'asurite\jdoe3' for his username (without the quotes). If you are an undergraduate, you should replace 'asurite' with 'asuad' in your login, for example: 'asuad\jdoe3'. Everyone should use her or his normal ASURITE password for this.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU COPY THE DATA YOU ARE WORKING WITH TO A LOCAL DRIVE FOR FASTER PERFORMANCE.
