GIS Software
ESRI ArcGIS
ESRI software and licensing can now be obtained through UTO. This change will save everyone from obtaining the media themselves as well as generating and updating a license. You will need to be an ASU Faculty or Staff member to download the software from the network.
The media can be found at: http://www.asu.edu/asusoftware ![]()
To load the software:
- Double click Setup ArcGIS.exe. Allow it to update the files and restart.
- Install Desktop - Make sure the ArcInfo radio button is selected (should be the default).
- Use complete installation.
- After the install is finished, it will provide more options – mostly for space limitations. GIS Services does not recommend installing Seagate Crystal Reports or Tutorial Data. Use other defaults.
- Install Workstation - Double click SetupWorkstation.exe.
- Use complete installation. Use other defaults. Restart the computer when it asks you to.
To install the license, use the Desktop Administrator to point your machine to pubkeyserver2.asu.edu
